Three diamonds set in sterling silver or platinum mountings on a solid gold band in the Georgian-era style. Inspired by examples of diamond rings from the Age of Enlightenment (1685-1815 AD). Popular during this era, the shallow rose-cut diamonds appear large relative to their carat weight and gather light not from their facets but from the silver or platinum mounting beneath.
Named for Olympe de Gouges, French playwright, feminist, and abolitionist who was guillotined during the Reign of Terror.
